Washington center Artem Wallace is in legal trouble following a reported hit-and-run accident. The Associated Press is citing police reports saying Wallace was one of two "highly intoxicated" people arrested and released following a car-motorcycle collision early Sunday in West Seattle. A decision on whether to bring charges is up to King County prosecutors. Wallace, a native Russian who played at Toledo High School, moved into the rotation last season and started seven games. He would likely be a contender for the starting lineup next season if Spencer Hawes leaves for the NBA, especially if Joe Wolfinger isn't fully recovered from his longtime foot injury. The university released this statement from coach Lorenzo Romar: "I am aware of the situation and have talked with Artem. He is cooperating with the investigation. I am still in the process of gathering all the facts. When all of the information is available, I will determine an appropriate course of action. Until that time, I will not have any further comment about the situation."
