Two of the most attractice home games on Washington's coming football schedule will kick off in late afternoon to accommodate national broadcast.

Oklahoma's Sept. 13 visit to Husky Stadium will kickoff at 4:45 p.m. and will be shown on either ESPN or ABC.

Notre Dame's visit on Oct. 25 will kickoff at 5 p.m. and be shown on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

Here's a full release from UW.

OK, Don, since we're talking about Oklahoma and ND anyway...

Whaddya think? Based on what we saw in Spring ball, and the state of the ND program in particular, do we have a chance against either of them this fall?

I saw some positive signs in the Spring game, but between losing Garcia and our lack of size and depth on the defense, pretty much everything would have to go right for us (and wrong for them) to beat Oklahoma, I think. But what about the Fighting Amish? Are they beatable?

Hmmm. I say we have a chance to draw more Okies to Seattle. The town always shows off well in early season, nationally-televised football games. Let's just remember to check their pockets when they leave.

I think you frame it just right for this time of the year, DB: Everything would have to break right.

I haven't seriously studied Oklahoma (probably very good) or Notre Dame (probably better than last season, but...). However, just looking at the Huskies, they are almost fully unproven at tailback, receiver and along the defense line, and now apparently at least at one position on the offensive line. And while there are a lot of familiar names in the secondary, I think that unit's pretty much a work in progress too.

And frankly, the overall team didn't look as good as I might have expected in the spring game.

A lot will have to go right, but there's still a long way to fall.

Right, A. Unfortunately, Seattle's charms didn't work so well on an Okie named Clay Bennett.
