The idea had been bandied around at the start of summer – former Husky quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo joining the new coaching staff – but did not become a real possibility until recently.
And in the past few days, the University of Washington and new coach Steve Sarkisian made it official, hiring Tuiasosopo as the team's assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Tuiasosopo was at the start of fall camp Monday, and will serve in whatever capacity strength-and-condition head man Ivan Lewis demands. It is a paying staff position.
"To be back here, it's a dream come true," Tuiasosopo said. "(The UW is) my alma mater. I'd love to see them do well."
